Double Trouble

Yesterday was great! I did another 5K. I upped the speed a little and cut 2:40 seconds off my original time. I was pretty proud of the accomplishment. I went from 46:10 to 43:30. I did most of the 5K at the speed of 4.3 and an incline of 6 then I did abs and left. I do weights today with Flo. I may need to add in another day of weights if I only see Flo 2-3 times a week.

I am really thinking about adding in mornings and doing two-a-days for a while. I don’t know how I feel about getting up that early to go work out but I might be able to do more this way. I would go in the morning, do cardio and go to work then go back most afternoons and do weights, abs and more cardio. I have been thinking a lot about it. I may be nuts but I am going to lose some afternoon with school and school work. I’d like to see the scale start to move a little more.

  1. Hey man, I have to say with the early morning gig it can really depend on the person, but I love my "work out" in the morning. I'm riding about 7 miles total per day. It's about 4 miles in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. The morning work out gets your endorphins pumping, helping you with energy levels through the day. Then a calmer afternoon workout will ease you into the night and since you're not over doing it to "make up" for lost workout time you won't pump yourself up and end up having trouble getting to sleep. ;) I know people who work out from 8 PM to 10 and bitch about only getting to sleep at 3 AM. Well no wonder!

Give it a shot dude, it'll take two weeks to get into a cycle, but I think you'll really appreciate it.

  2. I am really not a morning person. I am rockin 12-15 hour days right now. I'm not sure taking my half-dead body into the gym at 6AM is a good thing.
