Superbowl Food Coma

I was in the gym on Friday and I was doing my boxing thing. Some lady came up to me and asked me if what I was doing was hard. I told her it wasn’t hard but it was tiring and I was “sucking wind”. She looked at me like I had twelve heads. Is “sucking wind” only a Long Island term or something? Should I not use that in this area? I thought it was a universal term, guess not. It’s funny how my “sucking wind” comment was the piece that offended her, not the tall, angry guy hitting a punching bag with everything possible while hurling insults into the air.

The Superbowl was OK. It wasn’t as good as the last few years and it wasn’t bad as some of the years prior to that. I did eat a lot. I did take the fat day thing to its limits and I am paying for it today. My stomach and head are bothering me.
I am all cardio this week. Today I’ll go in a run/jog/walk and do abs. Tuesday I’ll do boxing, step-ups and abs.

Only nine days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training.

Randy Couture has entered my list of people I will always root for.

Happy Monday!

  1. Horses do something called wind sucking, and apparently you don't want to buy a horse that's doing it. Perhaps this is one of the origins? http://www.horseproblems.com.au/problem_horses_and_wind_sucking.htm

    Other suggestions go downhill... quick...

  2. I think I need an alternate to "sucking wind" then.
